FACILITIES

CENTRAL LIBRARY

A Library is the soul of an academic Institution. Its role is to support, supplement and enrich the formal classroom teaching by providing various services. SGI Library plays an active role in this direction and provides various information services. It is a fully automated library with Internet and Intranet connections thus making it a vibrant system, capable of providing latest information to its users in their respective fields. A team of professionally qualified staff members, headed by a Chief Librarian, and other qualified staff manages the Library.

IN HOUSE MOOT COURT

In house Moot Court is the regular activities organised for students of MD Law College. This progressive teaching methodology adopted by College is to acquaint students with law through theoretical sessions as well as practical learning.

CANTEEN & CAFE

A hygienic, well-furnished and well-equipped cafeteria is available in the campus to provide food at nominal rates for the staff and students. The Cafeteria in the Campus is the hub of every student activity. A Dining Hall is provided for the day scholars students. The canteen sells a wide variety of hot and cold food and drinks at recess and lunch times and ensures that a range of healthy choices are available.

HOSTEL FACILITY

Each of the blocks has a square in the center where badminton courts with good turf are maintained, with some blocks also having lawns in the square. Each hostel block has a common room where facilities such as wall-mounted televisions, table-tennis tables and carom and chess games are available. It is the common room that provides the scene of action for get-togethers, parties and informal discussions. Each block is also equipped with fully automatic washing machines and each floor is further equipped with landline phones, water coolers and water purifiers.

MEDICAL FACILITY

To look into routine medical problems of the students, our college has separate M.I. room. A qualified Pediatrician has been engaged in each M.I. room, to look into the daily medical problems of the students, if any. There is arrangement of a proper bed in each M.I. room for the students to take rest after being given treatment. Medical camps are organized to bring awareness in students about good heath practices. Besides keeping themselves physically and mentally fit, our students are taken to places, particularly our villages, to create awareness amongst the people who are not much aware about various dangerous diseases prevalent in our country.

TRANSPORT FACILITY

A fleet of buses, cars, ambulance and other vehicles provide uninterrupted transport facility to the students, faculty, staff and visitors. The Shivalik Group presently maintains a convoy of 25 vehicles including 15 buses, 8 Cabs, 1 ambulances including one security vehicle & 01 tractor for agriculture and plantations purpose in the campus. The Shivalik Group extends the pick and drop transportation facility to students within a radius of about 100 km adjoining the cities Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Nariangarh, Mustafabad. Transport Facility is for above given locations.

SPORT FACILITY

The Campus provides an environment for the students to develop their personality and a good health. All facilities are available for sports. Institute organizes Yoga & meditation session for stress release and good health. There is a Sports Department, functioning to ensure the needs of sports activities of all the Institutes in our educational campus. A large playground in the campus is well equipped for cricket, hockey, football, basketball and other games. Elaborate arrangements exist for both indoor and outdoor games and sports. The Annual Sports events are held every year in the college at which a large number of teachers, non-teaching staff and students participate, thereby fostering the spirit of corporate living. Football, Cricket, Table-tennis and Caram are some of the most popular games encouraged among the students. The College participates in most of the games, sports and tournaments conducted by the University.

LABS & CONFERENCE

The imposing specially designed workshops are spread in an area of 20,000 sq.ft. The 8 shops include Machine Shop, Fitting Shop, Welding Shop, Sheet Metal Shop, Carpentry Shop, Smithy Shop, Foundry Shop, Electronic & Electrical Shop. The acquisition of latest equipments and machines ensures basis Engineering skills with the help of qualified, experienced and knowledgeable faculty.Training students in a practical environment is a vital part of our academic plans, considering that the practical exposure is an inevitable aspect of a student’s overall development regarding subject understanding and related concepts. Seminar Halls are one of the major assets of an institution. Shivalik Group has made every effort in creating 2 Seminar and 1 Conference Halls that are fully equipped in every aspect. Each and every Seminar Hall is fully equipped with.

WIFI CAMPUS

The campus has a seamless Wi'Fi network with more than 8 Mbps leased line with multiple ISPs which allow the students to connect to net anytime, any where! We have a campus LAN, with Learning Management System to facilitates students to discuss academic topics, submit their assignments online, see their class notes, study through specially designed learning resources and also refer to reference and digital library. The campus Cafes, the outer spots with relaxed & comfortable seating allow the student to complete their assignment after the classes and submit it to the teacher online within the stipulated deadline. For a student conscious of his future, the campus allows all avenues to explore the technology solutions that the university offers.
